Sena is an average height teenager with long blonde hair and blue eyes. In school, she wears her Sakuragaoka uniform with a school-issued cardigan, which she will sometimes wear under her blazer. Outside of school, Sena's choice of wardrobe is often feminine and trendy, going alongside her modelling and fashion career.
When Sena was a child, she still wore her hair in pigtails, but she notably wore star accessories in her hair ties.
Personality and Actions[]
Sena, in concept, is the kind of person girls would look up to and the type of girl boys would like to date. She is positive, friendly, and has strong self worth, preferring to live true to herself. Where family is concerned, she shows her support on her sleeve. Her personality ends up inspiring other cast members such as Arisa Takamizawa and her own younger sister Mona. Despite her crazy routine with her job, she still manages a fairly good grade in school.
Where it concerns romance, Sena is shy at first, but once in the relationship she's best described as assertive. Rather than being led around by her lover, Sena instead initiates contact in dates.
Hobbies[]
Sena is a teen fashion model, having been scouted in middle school. Besides being a public personality, Sena is also a fashion designer and the in-universe creator of the HANICOS makeup brand and the Honey×Honey fashion brand.
A classmate in Sakuragaoka, an her eventual boyfriend. They had only seen each other on the subway on the commute to school every Friday, but never worked up the nerve to talk to one another. Sena often spent time trying to practice greeting him for real, and eventually lent him her umbrella one day when it started to rain.
Sena is absolutely smitten with Hamanaka, calling him her "prince" despite his goofy personality. Her feelings for him become more apparent as they start hanging out together on Sundays, which eventually culminates in them secretly dating. In their relationship, Sena is best described as the more "active" participant.
Sena and Arisa never met before high school, and the relationship between them is purely fan and celebrity. Arisa is awestruck by her presence in Sakuragaoka, asking her various questions about her shoots and thanking her for being the inspiration for Arisa herself to change.
Has worked with both Yujiro and Aizo on occasion. They starred together in the "Romeo" music video and promoted her "Koi wo Shiyou" series for HANICOS, but their relationship is purely professional. Individual opinions on either boy are subject to change.
As Mona's older sister, Sena is incredibly supportive of her progress in show business and makes time and effort to come to her live performances when she can, often telling everyone she can about it. She is very attentive to her progress in being an idol, and watches all her concerts either later or live.
Etymology[]
The name Sena means "holy" (聖) (se) and "apple tree" (奈) (na).
Sena's surname Narumi means "become" (成) (naru) and "sea, ocean" (海) (mi).
Trivia[]
According to Yamako, Sena was originally developed as the ideal love interest for a boy, but it was later decided that she would work better as an ideal girl for girls to admire.[1]
The HoneyCollection Vol. 04 ~Kinyoubi no Ohayou~ artbook shows that there were three proposals for Sena's eye color: green, brown, and blue. Yamako preferred green, but the other members liked blue more.
However, Koyuki Ayase also has blue eyes, and Yamako wanted to avoid giving unrelated characters the same eye color. So Sena's final design featured a deeper, less saturated shade of blue.
Sena has an out-of-universe Instagram account, featuring pictures seen in Kawaiiku Naritai and referencing Watashi, Idol Sengen and Watashi no Tenshi. The account has only updated three times, to reflect the airing dates of all three songs' PVs.
She and Akari were in Class 1-1 during their first year at Sakuragaoka, similar to the Second Generation of the CEC cast.
Sena inherited her blonde hair from her mother, Ayako, and her blue eyes from her father, Yusuke.
